Job title: Local Marketing & Sales Manager
Reports to :
Country Manager or his delegated manager
Regional Sales Manager PS Division - Power Generation Business Unit
Mission Statement
Develops the Power Generation Industry sales in order to achieve budget and profitable growth targets, irnpementing the Company Strategies ln acoordance with the Business Ethics and in Compliance with Directives and Procedures.
Leads marketing and business development activities at Local Division level Supports Local Division Manager in strategic planning and budgeting process.
1. Objective of the position
  • The Local Marketing & Sales Engineer ïs accountable for achieving order intake in his territory.
  • He manages the relationship and business with customers of the assigned market to maximize ABB profilability and effectiveness.
  • He provides effective sales support and «dis with the tendering organization in the Supply Unit. He usually has direct customer contact He supports the sales process (screening, tendering, negotiation. ctosing and hand-over to execution) in fine with the business modal.
  • He has a strong background of sales and marketing, preferably in the power generation industry, with knowledge and experience in thermal. hydro and solar power plants. Specific strengths are required in:
  • Automation ( DCS systems
  • HV, MV and LV Electrical systems and protection
  • Power plant service and maintenance
  • Energy Efficency       
2. Main tasks
  • Collecte update and report market intellioence icustorners, potentral oppertunities. compeition, etc.)
  • Early identification of customer neecs and project opportunit es
  • Improve access to markets through external channel partners such as centractors, system integratcrs, OEM’s,  distributors. etc,
  • Support and use ProSales and other marketing and sales tools to Crack and monitor project opportundies
  • Develop existing and new custorners new projets and market segments fo ensure a profitable increase of sales volume order to secure and exceed budget
  • Support tender generation with all associated processes
  • Support tender screening. Risk Review and Won-Lost processes
  • Initiale necessary Front End Sales actions (e.g seminars, trade shows, technology presentations) to optimize order intake
  • Track and monitor quotations and tenders and provee earty feedback and analysis to the business units
  • Develop and deliver functiona reports in consultation with Global Marketing Unit Manager. the Regsonal Sales
Manager and the Local Business Unit Manager
  • Ensure continuous improvernent in sales processes and sales costs
  • Encourage One Team approach for individuel sales projects
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales activities, mainly in HV MV and LV Electrical systems and protection. Power plant service and maintenance
  • Bachelor & Master degree In Electrical or Mechancal Engineering & Sales
  • Fluenty in both spoken & written English, French is a must
