Finance and Administration Manager
Position Summary. Reporting
directly to the National Director, the Finance & Administration
Manager (FAM) is responsible for the management and leadership of the
National Organization’s functions that handle accounting, grants
management, administration and human resource management. The FAM
collaborates with the National Director and HFH Cote d’Ivoire Staff in
the resource planning, monitoring and management of the National
Organization. The FAM is responsible to ensure effective and efficient
stewardship of resources and systems within GAAP and HFHI policies to
achieve organization goals. Responsibilities will include supervision of
both the National Financial Accountant and Grant Accountant; preparing
and defending audits; producing accurate and timely management
information based on financial statements and program performance
statistics; drafting and implementing fiscal policies and systems;
drafting and managing national office budgets; and assisting program
staff to improve operations. Finance & Administration Manager is
responsible for maintaining effective working relationships with all
staff, partners, and volunteers. Experience:
At least 7 years’ experience in NGO’s accounting environment.
least 5 years of progressively responsible staff and office supervisory
experience, including direct supervision of a staff team and evaluation
of performance and deliverables
Demonstrable experience of improving administrative systems and processes
or familiarity with the NGO sector, especially with major donor
financial reporting and auditing requirements or in the Micro-financing
Experience with Sun systems accounting software or equivalent. Business Intelligence experience will be an added advantage.
Extensive experience in capacity building, financial systems and controls, budgeting and financial reporting.
Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, preferable multi- lingual French and English speaking.
University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or similar fields.
Professional qualification in Accounting.
