Position Overview
|
Banyan Global is an international development consulting firm based in Washington, DC. Banyan Global operates seamlessly within five practice areas: inclusive finance, health, gender, enterprise development, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E).Banyan Global is recruiting a full-time, Ivorian Access to Finance Specialist to manage all the access to finance activities of the USAID’s West Africa Trade and Investment Hub project in Cote d’Ivoire (CI)and to support regional activities along the Trade Hub corridors.
Responsibilities include:
• Identify agribusinesses that are seeking access to debt financing or equity.
• Identify potential business and financial management consultants; build their capacity and support their assistance to agribusinesses seeking debt financing and equity.
• Identify and build relations with financial institutions in the Ivory Coast, including commercial banks, microfinance banks, and equity investors.
• Supervise Trade Hub consultants that are facilitating loans for agribusinesses with financial institutions.
• Organize strategic consultative meetings between agribusiness and financial institutions to build knowledge and relations.
• Provide direct technical assistance to agribusinesses seeking access to finance.
• Manage outreach activities on access to finance with the Ivorian government, private sector, banks and FIs.Liaise with the Ministry of Trade, Agriculture, Commerce, Promotion Agency, etc.
• Organize and participate in access to finance, agribusiness, and equity finance trainings in the region.
• Support the access to finance gender activities being implemented in the region.

Qualifications
|
Qualifications include:
• Must be Ivorian citizen.
• Minimum of five years of experience working in projects supporting access to finance for the agriculture sector in the Ivory Coast and/or the region.
• Outstanding project management skills.
• Experience working with USAID or other international donors.
• Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English is required.
