Role Summary/Purpose
Will be responsible for establishing and driving a collaboration model with customers in the co-creation of solutions to deliver desired outcomes.
They will leverage a broad and deep understanding of the client’s business life-cycle cost and revenue models, and strategic imperatives to define,
challenge and shape the priority of needs and innovation agenda.
Essential Responsibilities
- Build long-term C-Suite relationships and cultivate client champion(s).
- Assess and address resource and capability needs/gaps;
- Aggressively pursue strategic growth opportunities through identification and engagement of end-user customers/strategic accounts to gain market share for GE;
- Create a sales pipeline of high-value, large-scale opportunities through development of strategic relationships and partnerships with C-suite leadership and key decision makers at Tier 1 critical strategic accounts;
- Create and deliver impactful presentations to End-Users at the mid-manager and C-suite levels;
- Leverage Region sales teams to partner on local/tactical strategy with key Channel Partners to drive growth and coordinate sales efforts;
- Leverage the broader GE portfolio of Enterprise solutions to drive mind-share and engagement with strategic customers;
- Partner with marketing on segmentation, prioritization, value propositions (including ROI modeling), sales collateral and go-to-market strategies;
- Leverage technology (i.e. Sales Force.com) to manage leads, track results, communicate targets, status, and engagement plans to leadership and regional teams;
- Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Product Management, Marketing and Commercial Services to maximize GE share of wallet and to support NPIs to fulfill customers’ needs;
- Position yourself as an expert through development of technical skills and product knowledge (fixtures, controls, etc.).
Qualifications/Requirements
To be successful in this role, you would:
- Possess a BS Engineering degree or equivalent.
- MBA Qualification;
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience generating demand with end users;
- Fluent both French and English
- Exceptional executive influencing and provocation skills with C-level decision-makers to drive new thinking about how they run their business;
- Proven ability to establish a deep understanding of customers’ most important business outcomes;
- Ability to partner fully with a cross-function and cross-business team to align current equipment, Services, and Software offerings to materially impact the customer’s current and future business needs;
- Use of solution selling approaches that compel end customers to adopt and implement software to solve more strategic, comprehensive, mission critical problems;
- Successful candidates must bring the demonstrated ability and desire to drive transformational customer software solutions that allow customers to better manage and enhance the profitability of their business;
- Hold the technical acumen to interface with technologists, understand complex concepts and translate in a way that businesses or industry can understand;
- Influential individual with the ability to partner, energize, and inspire;
- Experience working in Francophone Africa with strong network with large industrial organizations in the region
